My Timeline for one of my Jira Spaces is no longer displaying despite it working yesterday and no changes were made to my space or field or screen configs. I doublechecked and both date fields are in my field and screen schema. What happened?
I have another space which uses all the same field configuration and screen schema and that Timeline is displaying. Any thoughts?
Hello @Lisa Knapp
Based on you talking about field and screen configurations, is this for a Company managed space?
Is it for a Business space or a Software Space?
If it is for a Software space then the Timeline is associated with a Board. If the board filter was changed such that it encompasses more than one project then a basic Timeline cannot be shown. The basic Timeline feature can be used only when the board is explicitly limited to a single project.
Hi @Trudy Claspill it's for a Company-managed software space. I thought for sure it was because my board filter had multiple spaces associated with it, but I changed the board filter query to only the 1 space (that project) but the Timeline still doesn't work.
the error message says: To use the timeline, this project needs to have a date field included in its field configuration scheme.
I have 2 date fields associated already.
What's more interesting is I have 2 other projects/spaces where it's using the same fields and the Timeline works just fine today. I'm stumped

As I recall you need to have the native "Due date" and "Start date" fields added to the Field Configuration for the project and possibly to the Screens for the issue types in the project. You should be able to make those additions even for native, locked fields.

Hi Lisa,
Take a look at this article and see if it sheds any light on it. You might want to book some time with Amy to discuss.

Another user solved their problem by doing this:
Go to fields configurations and find the system field Start Date [cf10015] and Due Date [duedate] and assign them to the screen of the project
Not sure if that is the same thing affecting your or not.

Thanks, much John. I have Due Date in there but the system Start Date is a locked field which I unfortunately can't add. I'll have to dig in on how to get a locked field added.
