Ticket description can't be formatted and getting an error on editing and then saving tickets

I downloaded the Jira Cloud app from the app store for my Macbook pro and i can't i can't use different sort of formatting for the description of the ticket when i'm creating one. I think it might be related to this error i'm getting as seen below:

Please, check the steps below to properly troubleshoot your issue:

1. Does the problem reproduce when using a web browser to access Jira?
2. Check if your Description field is properly added with the Wiki Style Renderer. You can do it by following the steps below:
   
   1. Navigate to your Project > Project settings > Fields > Actions > Edit Fields
   2. Check the field "Description" is properly configured with the Wiki Style Renderer:
      
      P.S: The steps above can only be done by a project administrator. If you are not an admin, please contact your project owner to check the steps above
