Atlassian uses Application Links ("app links") for secure communication between its own products and components. There are a few tantalising hints in documentation pages that this mechanism may be used to communicate with other external products too. Is there any detailed documentation, API specifications or other developer-level resources available for this functionality? Most of what I have been able to find is quite generic.
