There was an exception when creating an issue

That's quite a serious error that implies a broken connection to your database.

It should have put that error into the application log, but with a lot more detail, and we'd like to see that!

Check if any field is mandatory and not available on the screens. JIRA at some places does not say accurately what exactly the issue is, rather gives strange error message.
