The custom field description although updated, is showing incorrectly in the associated screen.

Hi,

I had created a custom field of type 'Radio Button' essentially to use it as flag. This field is associated with only one issue type & one screen. I gave a description for this field and the later updated it. The Jira setting page where we create/update/edit the field, is reflecting this update however the screen where it is associated is not reflecting the update but is showing the earlier description I had given.

I think this is a bug. I have tried clearing cache and re-login but none is working.

Hi @Saurabh Chaurasia 

There are 2 places the field's helptext/description be updated.

1) Custom field configuration

2) Field configuration scheme of the project.

The field configuration scheme's definition will override the custom field's configuration on this setting.

Can you check the field configuration scheme?

Check the field configuration  used on the project and locate the field, check the description there and remove, to get the default from the custom field or set your own.
