The archive component functionality was removed?

Hello community, I wonder if the possibility of archiving components was eliminated, since it is a functionality that existed some time ago and in my company we would be needing it.
Because we use the components to create the different objectives to be treated by each quarter, associating the tasks and epics to each one.

Any form of use or recommendation is welcome!

Component archive is a feature of Jira Server/Data Center.

There is a change request to make it a feature in Jira Cloud:
