Hello,

After installing tempo, these issues surfaced with existing JiRA time tacking

1. worklogs disappeared from the issues

2. all previous issues ( previous to tempo installation) worklog hours were not visible in tempo timesheet

That said, can here are few questions

1. Does Tempo uses the same Database as core JIRA?

2. Which tables does tempo log hours?

3. Can any automation rule help with logging hours in temp rather than manual entry?

Thanks and appreciate any response in advance!

Cheers,

Sudha

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Tempo takes over the time tracking functions when you install and enable it - the Jira worklogs are hidden behind the Tempo ones.  That's why your worklogs have disappeared (they're still there, but you can't see them)

So, to answer all of the questions

> 1. Does Tempo uses the same Database as core JIRA?

You don't care, Cloud is a service and you have no access to it (but technically, yes and no, some Tempo data is in the Jira database, but some of it may be on Tempo's servers that serve up the app)

> 2. Which tables does tempo log hours?

Again, you don't care, but tempo has it's own tables, in whichever database you're looking at

> 3. Can any automation rule help with logging hours in temp rather than manual entry?

Yes, Automation can log hours
