We use the same project management structure and series of work items for each project we manage in jira. In previous organizations, we had a template to upload the standard into Jira. Is there one out there I can borrow and modify?

Hi @bauer and welcome to the community!

While Jira Cloud itself doesn’t offer native support for full project templating, you can achieve exactly this with the help of marketplace apps.

Our app Deep Clone for Jira lets you:

  • Clone entire projects, including issues, components, versions, and (with Advanced Project Clone) board configurations.
  • Use a project as a template and replicate its full structure as often as needed — perfect for recurring client work, campaigns, or onboarding flows.

You can set up a master template project and use the Project Clone feature to duplicate it.

You could create a project the way you want set up and name it as a template and use that.

This is how we have setup our projects to provide uniformity across our engineering projects.

Are you asking about template for configuration or for some predefined issues in project?
