Teams integration: cannot create issue, fields are not shown in modal

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
As the title says, I cannot create any new issues from a Teams message. After selecting the site and project, I can choose the right work item type, but no fields are shown after this. There is no indication that anything is being loaded either, and I don't see any error messages. This might have something to do with the fact that I added a custom field to our issues earlier on, but that's just speculation.
Is there any way to resolve this?
