Team managed - Color the story in scrum board using end date field

i need to create a automation to change the color of story based on end date field. i am using team managed

With team managed project, this is not feasible,rather create a company managed project. Team managed  projects don't have the option for the card colors. Company managed  have this option where you can define the card colors based on the queries. You would need to specify the due date. For that you can use this guide https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/jql-fields/ and search for JQL Fields then Due section which gives examples.

Welcome to the Atlassian community,

If you are referring to the Card colors in the board. There is no feature available in team managed project to update the card color in the board. Card colors is only available to company-managed project boards.

As of now none, Card colors in the board is only available in Company managed project.

Team managed has limited/few features compared to Company managed. You would need to create/convert to company-managed project to have more available feature/configurable settings in the project.
