I have a team-managed project that was setup by one of my employees. That person is no longer with the company and I am not being able to access the project. It says to contact the administrator but I am the company administrator. Is there any way around this so that I can access without having to give access back to the employee that no longer works for me and asking them to share with me?

As a Jira Administrator, you will see a cog in the upper right-hand corner next to your profile. You can click the and select projects. this will take you to the manage projects page. On that page search for the project you would like to change and click the three dots on the right hand side and select project settings. You can change the project access there.
I have done this, but I assume because it is a team-managed project, I am not able to adjust the users. All I have access to is to change the project lead, but that does not give me access to the board still.

In the project settings do you see access? You can change user access here on the team-managed project.

Hi @Jon Armour and welcome to the Community!
As org admin you should be able to change the project access. From Admin settings (the cog icon near the top right corner), select projects. Locate the project and click ... > project settings. Check the settings on the Access tab and change accordingly and/or add yourself to the project's administrator role.
Hope this helps!
