Hello together,

We are using Jira Cloud (Software) since around 2011.

Today, while trying to clean up our Jira Cloud users & groups, I found the following groups that were likely auto-generated by Atlassian.

  • administrators
  • goal-admins-{company-name}
  • goal-user-access-admins-{company-name}
  • goal-users-{company-name}
  • jira-admins-{company-name}
  • jira-software-user-access-admins-{company-name}
  • jira-users
  • _licensed-bamboo
  • _licensed-confluence
  • _licensed-fecru
  • _licensed-jira
  • _no-one-at-all
  • org-admins
  • project-admins-{company-name}
  • project-user-access-admins-{company-name}
  • project-users-{company-name}
  • site-admins
  • user-access-admins-{company-name}

But since we are using the service for so many years, I suspect some of these aren't necessary, anymore.

Are these documented properly, anywhere?

Also, it would be sensible if these could be marked by Atlassian as "system-internal" or something like that to make it clear. [Feature Proposal]

Thanks.

Hey @OSe Development ,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

I believe the article Understand default groups should help you remove the obsolete groups. As I dont have the old groups now available on my test instance, please check if you have an option to manually delete from Atlassian Administration.
