As productowner or projectmanager I add several userstories and tasks to the backlog as part of an epic.

Each epic contains 2 extra free fields and a component to help structure the work.

How can I automate that if I create a userstory or task (and after that a subtask), the fields and component that I selected in the Epic are automaticly copied in those userstories and tasks belonging to that epic?

Hey @Steven Kraal,

I’m the solution engineer at Elements and I think our app Elements Copy and Sync can help you with your issue. The goal of Elements Copy & Sync is to help reduce your manual inputs by copying, linking, and synchronizing Jira issues automatically.

From my understanding of your use case, you need to automate the copy of your parent's issues fields into your child's issues.

In order to do so, I’ll share some documentation about our app allowing you to solve your use case:

I invite you to take a look at that documentation and try Elements Copy&Sync, if you face any issue during the implementation of the solution I recommend you to contact us through our support or directly book a 1:1 call with me to exchange about your use case.

Best,
Armand
