Dear Community,
Is it possible to sync a Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center instance bi-directional with Atlassian's Application Tunnel?
Similar to the functionality of plug-ins like Exalate, Backbone or Issue Synch?
Thanks for your advice in advance.
Cheers,
Anja
I'm part of the team behind Backbone Issue Sync - and therefore have some experience in these topics.
It's not possible to sync data with the Application Tunnels. Application tunnels are a secure way how you can establish an application link between Atlassian products. With an application link, you can create issue links between issues on Jira Cloud and Data Center or link to Confluence pages, or simillar.
If you actually want to synchronize issues, you need to use one of the apps you've mentioned or implement your own automation/scripting solution.
Hope that helps,
Matthias.
Hi Matthias,
Thank you so much for your speedy reply, which was very helpful indeed :)

@anja_buckley hey there. Matthias has already given the answer. so i'll just add another option that can be of use for your use case - ZigiOps (you can check it in the Atlassian marketplace). Fully no-code an totally secure (does not store any data), the ZigiOps platform can sync a Jira Cloud and Jira Data Center instance bi-directionally and be customized to fit various use cases. Feel free to check it out and ever try via the free trial.
Regards,
Diana
