Hi,
we have to upgrade our Jira-Software Installation (8.11.1).
The new Jira Version requires a MS SQL Server version 2016/2017.
(We cant go to the MS SQL 2019 version because we are also running a confluence instance)
Up to now we are running MS SQL Server 2014.
My general question is:
When do we have to change the database Version?
Before the Jira-upgrade or after the upgrade or while the upgrade?
Would this be the right way:
- shut down Jira
- make DB and Jira backups
- move the database from MS SQL 2014 to a 2017 server
- upgrade Jira
- start Jira
How did you managed this succesfully?
