Subtasks keep appearing

I have the query below

project = X AND issuetype not in (Subtask, Defect, HotFix) ORDER BY Rank ASC

it is still showing subtasks, but not the defects and hotfixes.

Can't figure out what's wrong.

Please share some screenshots. Be sure that the issue type is Subtask and not for example "sub-task".

Hi @[deleted] and welcome to the community,

Check if the issue type is spelled differently than "subtasks". Perhaps it's "sub-tasks".

Try using this JQL clause to filter out the subtasks:

issuetype not in subTaskIssueTypes()
