Hi,
Since an update to Edge browser a month or 2 ago, when I try to use the Control+Shift+S shortcut to format text with strikethrough, my browser takes a screenshot instead of formatting the text. Seem that this new shortcut built into Edge overrides Jira shortcuts. The only way I have found to turn this off is via group policy as my device is managed by the organisation. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get changes made to group policy where I work so this is not an option.
Is there any know way to reassign a Jira keyboard shortcut to an alternative or to override the browser shortcut without making admin level changes to a device?
Thanks
Hi @Rob Sher
I understand you are wanting to be able to customize the keyboard shortcut within Jira Cloud. Unfortunately at this time, Jira does not have the ability to let users or admins change the keyboard shortcuts. We do have a feature request for this over in JRACLOUD-93262. In the current state, the keyboard shortcuts used in the editor are the same across all Jira Cloud sites.
It might help to reach out to your site-admin and ask them to create a support case via https://support.atlassian.com/contact/ While I don't believe they would have a different solution for this, it could help our support teams to better track customer reports of problems like this one.
Thanks Andy.
I have mentioned a comment on that request. As Microsoft make it difficult to turn off their own Ctrl + Shift + S shortcut, perhaps it can be replaced with a different shortcut (for all users) in future

Unfortunately that does not work

I requested Atlassian assistance. Even though sometimes if it is an internal configuration there is nothing Atlassian can do about it

Welcome to the Atlassian Community @Rob Sher !
Sorry to hear about your issue.
Any way to use another browser within your organization? Or you are restricted to Edge?
Best,
Fadoua
