Stretch Stories

Hemant Garg June 6, 2018

Per agile theory, stretch stories should not be counted for the committed velocity but if completed in the sprint then should be counted for the actual velocity for that sprint. How to achieve this in Jira without making a scope change for the sprint?

Thanks for the reply.  If this new issue type using filter is excluded from the sprint then it takes care of not counting it in the committed velocity. However, if it the stretch story gets completed in the sprint then we want it to be counted in the actual velocity for that sprint. Changing its type from 'stretch story' to 'user story' at its completion will cause scope change. Thoughts?
