I understand task is same level as story  but story can have subtasks where as tasks cannot have anything under it

My question is for simple development agile planning and estimation

I would like to say we have a story which can have High level tasks which can be evaluated by further broken subtasks.

In our project they have Epic as a business feature and Stories underneath are business broken stories with acceptance criteria

Epic --> * Stories -->* subtasks

What we need is something like this

Epic --> * Stories -->* High Level Tasks -->* subtasks

Is this not possible in JIRA ?

You first statement is incorrect. Tasks can have sub-tasks.

Hi @Mohamed Sherefudheen , welcome to the community.

From a technical point of view, there are only three hierarchy levels in Jira. So the best way to achieve your requirement would be to create a new issue link type to link stories and high level tasks.
