Story Mapping not working

Story map is not showing stories , only epics.  How do I fix this?

make sure that both issue types epic and story meet your jql query - therefore change you map config from 'project' to 'jql' and use a query like this:

project = 'your project key' and type in ('Epic','Story')

than the stories should appear related to it's Epic or above the 'unlinked' epic if they are not jet linked
