Stopping New Service Desk Projects from Auto Creating 2 Tickets

Nick Harding December 13, 2018

Whenever I create a new Service Desk Project, the system automatically creates two tickets.  The first one is titled "What am I looking at?" and the second is titled "Email requests enabled."  Is there a way to stop the system from generating these two tickets for every new service desk project?  If so, how would I go about removing those settings?

Hi,

This occurs when you create a project from a default Jira template. To avoid it, you can create a project with the setting from an exiting project

However, there are several things to know:

  • All configurations are shared (workflows, issues types, screens, permissions):
    • Good thing to standardize your configuration
    • If the project need specific configuration, you will need to create a new instance of the schemes to not impact other project

Hope it helps.
