Welcome to the community. A few things could cause this type of action to happen. It would be good to know what version of Jira or Confluence you are on or which products.
You could of turned off notifications in your profile.
You made an email rule that put Jira notification in a specific folder
You were removed from the access of the issue or request that would give you notification
Someone disabled email notifications
