We have created a Project that should be visible only to assignee, reporter and lead and created an Automation using for it. Now I'm getting mail for it showing as Automation for Jira
How to solve this mail. I tried is there anyway that mail can be stopped from Automation, but this comes from Notification Schemes.
So is there anyway we can stop all the "Automation for Jira" mails to users.
Hi @Santhosh Raj ,
Based on what you've described, I'd say that Notification Assistant for Jira might be an alternative for you to reach out your goal:
It might help you even personalizing the content of the notifications if needed.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Victor
Hi Santhosh,
Automation for Jira is the Actor for the rule in the Rule Details page. It will show in the history/email whoever is the Actor for the rule.

Hello @Santhosh Raj
I am unclear about the problem you are trying to solve.
Are you trying to stop notifications only when the change is made by an Automation Rule?
Are you trying to stop the notifications from being sent to specific recipients?
Can you provide more information about what you are trying to accomplish?

From my assumption, this notification is going to the triggered person, which we don't need. So not able to stop this notification. @John Funk @Trudy Claspill

Actions taken by Automation Rules will generally trigger the corresponding notifications that have been configured for the project. If the same actions of changing the Assignee and setting the Security Level are executed manually in the project, and those sorts of update would trigger notifications to "Santhosh Raj", then the notifications will be sent when those actions are taken through an Automation Rule. To stop those notifications you would have to change the Notifications configured for the project.
In some Automation rule Actions there is an option to disable the sending of email. That is not the case for the Set Security Level action.
