Here's a simple step-by-step guide for your users:

For the invited user:

1. Check email - Look for invitation email from Atlassian (check spam folder too)
2. Click "Accept invitation" button in the email
3. Create account - If new to Atlassian, they'll set up username/password
4. Verify email - Complete any email verification if prompted
5. Access Jira - Click the Jira link or go directly to your instance URL

• Include what the invitation email looks like
• Show the account creation form
• Screenshot the successful login screen

Common issues to mention:

• Invitation emails expire (usually 7 days)
• Corporate email filters may block invitations

The process is straightforward: when you invite a new users to Atlassian products and grant them access to one of the products, they receive an email with a button to accept the invitation. Once the user clicks the button, he gains access to the instance.

No additional steps are required on their part — access is granted automatically upon acceptance.

This is not a default, you can determine in Atlassian administration what kind of permission or even non a new user will get by default.

Go to Products and choose the option User Access Settings on each domain you can set what permission a new user is granted by default for each of the Atlassian products you have.
