Status of an Issue while cloning

Hi,

We clone tasks all the time but in the last couple of days, when a new task is created by cloning a closed task, the status of that closed task is also being carried over to the new task. 

For Ex: Task A is Closed --> Task B is created by cloning Task A --> The Status of Task B is now closed also.

Is this a known issue or a recent one ? Again, our scrum teams use templates that we clone all the time and we have not had this issue in the past. 

Any help on this issue is appreciated. Thanks
