We have a case where a user sees the Status column blank for issues, while all teammates see the correct status value for the same issues.
The Status column appears, but the cell is empty only for this one user.
Other fields (e.g., Work, Labels) display fine for her. The same issues show status normally for other users.
If she is able to see other columsn fine, I would try to clear cache and try again. also you could check the permissions on the board filter.

Are all of the work items in that board from the same project? Can the user get to the work item directly if he was sent a link to that particular ticket?
