Stash JIRA Integration Authentication

Benny Benjamin
February 18, 2013

I've integrated Stash with JIRA via the Add Application Link wizard, with link back.

The links work fine except that unless I already have a logged in session on the other end of the application, the links would only take me to the login page.

My account (from AD) are on both Stash and JIRA.

I've tried several linkage configurations like Trusted Application, Same Users but no luck so far.

Am I doing something wrong or is it meant to be this way?

Hi Benjambe,

From the description, it seems that you would need to log in to both applications in order for a link to redirect without authentication.

That is the intended behaviour. You would need a Single Sign On (SSO) application so that you can log in once on any application, and you would not need to log in to the other.

You may evaluate one of Atlassian SSO application, Crowd.

I hope I have not miss-understood you.

Hi Immanuel,

Yes that answers the question.

Thanks.
