Sprints mapped between different projects bug

Jeffrey Pulinat (BJXH47)
August 24, 2020

I have a project X that has the share the same sprint with project Y.

We will call this sprint "A".
Every time I edit the sprint A it the name changes in both project X and Y

I checked all the board settings between the projects and they are not shared with each other.

I added a new sprint "B" in project X and sprint B doesn't show on project Y. I move all the issues in project X from the shared sprint A to sprint B and sprint B doesn't show up in Project Y. I deleted empty sprint "A" from project X and now sprint "B" magically shows up in project "Y".

I solved this issue. by creating a new sprint for project X and a new sprint for project Y.

I moved all the issues from sprint A to sprint B in project X.

I moved all the issues from sprint A to sprint C in project Y.

Sprint A disappeared from from project Y.

I deleted empty sprint A from project X.

No sprints magically appeared to the other project.

How do I get the bug to the dev's attention?

@Jeffrey Pulinat (BJXH47)  ,

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/sprints-appearing-on-multiple-boards-in-jira-server-779159068.html list the reasons why the same sprint appears in multiple boards.

Do check that KB and see what is happening with your boards/projects.

The resolutions in KB didn't solve my issue. I updated my last paragraph with more details. Seems like a new bug.
