How can I automate a Sprint start and complete date.
Hi @Razia Allen
Jira does not natively support full automation of Sprint start and complete dates out of the box.
workaround, you can try the script runner market place app suggested here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/how-automatically-start-and-stop-sprints-same-day-every-week/qaq-p/8689
Hi @Razia Allen
Seems the action type for the Start sprint is not available in the Cloud.
There is an open task for that feature.

Hello @Razia Allen
Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Yes so, my sprints are schedule for a two-week period (10) days --every other Monday is my Sprint Complete and Start on the same day. I want to automate this at like 1 am every other Monday.

What are you trying to automate...?
What would you expect to have done with the incomplete issues when a sprint was completed? Would they go to the backlog or to a the next sprint?
Typically the content of a sprint is set manually. If you are trying to automate creation of sprints, how is the content of that sprint going to be set?
Do you run multiple sprints at one time in the Scrum board?
Why are you trying to automate this? What is the root problem you are trying to solve where doing these tasks manually is undesirable?

My manager asked me to look into if this process can be automated.
On the sprint completion date, the issues not done will move into the new Sprint.

Why is managing the ending and starting of sprints manually a problem?
What problem is your manager trying to solve by having the process automated?
It may be possible to do, but it may not be worth the effort or it may not solve the real problem.
I find it valuable to get a clear understanding of the problem the person wants resolved to assess if the solution they are proposing is going to be effective.
