Good day dear community,
I use the team managed version of Jira in my company and I have an issue with Edit Sprint feature. Unilke the issues, when I draft something on it seems that it is not saved because I have lost all the new goals to the new sprint while drafting them. Is there a way to access the unsaved draft when accidentally the Edit Sprint closed?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, in the team-managed version of Jira, the Edit Sprint modal does not autosave or keep a draft. If it’s accidentally closed before saving, the content (like sprint goals) is lost and cannot be recovered.
To prevent this in the future, consider drafting sprint goals in a separate document first, then pasting them in once finalized.
Hope that helps!
Hello @Ardalan Sepehri
You can try using API to get the data from the previous sprints, you need to know the Sprint ID: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/software/rest/api-group-sprint/#api-rest-agile-1-0-sprint-sprintid-get

Thanks @Nikola Perisic , however, it is not about previous sprints, it is the new sprint when I was trying to draft in new goals, it was closed unexpectedly and I lost all the drafted goals. the reason for this request is that my manager was dictating me those goals and I was writing them on the fly so I don't have any backup for it!
As a side question: In my team it is my manager who defines the sprint goals most of the times and a lot of time it happens on the fly and I am confused on how to note them to avoid losing them but also register them quickly on the board. what would be a good practice to avoid such errors happen? I know I can use notes, etc. to draft them but I need a solution on the Jira board to be quick and dynamic and ongoing!
