Hi all,

When working on Support task tracking whenever I need to edit or modify a ticket I get a eternal spinning wheel on my screen. To workaround it I need to open the task that I want to modify on a new tab by right clicking and opening it on a new tab in order to work.

Does anyone here have experienced it?

I am running version 7.8 on a Windows Server 2016

It's very difficult to say for sure what would cause this behavior with just this information.  In my experience there tends to be something else happening in Jira during this process.  I have seen 3rd party plugins to Jira that could cause a similar behavior.

So what I would recommend would be to recreate this problem, note the exact date/time, and then go into the $JIRAHOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file to see if we can find any warning/error messages that might correspond to the date/time when this problem happened.  Perhaps while looking at those logs we might get a hint as to what specific code packages might be getting called or that are related to this hang up.

If you don't see any such warnings/errors in the logs, then the alternative approach is to investigate if this is a problem specifically with your browser session.  It might help to try to recreate this problem and then take a look at your browser's console log to see if any errors are being registered there.

I'm more inclined to start with the server logs if you have access to them.
