Spin-off as a new company with different jira account + want to migrate history

Hello,

We use JIRA on our servers but a new company is separated. The new company will use a new account on the cloud. As the new company, we would like to transfer our old projects to the cloud. How can we do that?

Sign up for the new Cloud account, then run through https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Migrating+from+JIRA+Server+to+JIRA+Cloud to get the data over, and then delete any stuff you don't need from both systems.
