Specific Field value limiting a transition not working when a screen is added to the transition

we are at Jira Data Center Version 8.22. We have a request - During 'Close' transition if the 'Bug Category' field value is A then system will throw a message sating 'Bug Category value should not be A' for which I have added a validator using JSU(screenshot attached)

But there is a screen attached to  'Close' transition and Resolution field is mandatory as  the screen appears during 'Close' transition.

If I remove the screen the validator is working fine, but with the screen its not working.

if you disable the validator does the transition screen popup so the mandatory field get filled out? (this is a troubleshooting step)

Its the other way around actually, if the  screen is added to the transition the  validator does not work, if the  screen is removed from the transition the  validator does work.

it seems to me that your validator is unable to find the field you mentioned "Bug Category".

Can you please share your workflow and transition screen?
