Some user stories are not visible in a card view only in a line, how can I change that?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
The sub-tasks are mostly shown, but when a user story has no sub tasks then it happens that it is just visualised as a line and not as a card. Some user stories are just displayed right. I don´t see the difference within the creation.

Hi @Franziska Grollmann , welcome on the community :). Can you check your board configurations and configuration of Swimlanes?
And do you use Scrum or Kanban board?
