Some sprint items are one-liners that span all columns

Garrick Berger July 14, 2019

First off - I converted the project from a basic kanban type to a scrum type, which may have something to do with the problem I'm seeing.

I've created a sprint, but, in the board, some of the issues don't show as cards -- they show as a single line that spans all columns (like in the backlog).  They show the status in an outlined box after the item id.

I notice two things:

  • The singe line items have subtasks
  • The single line items are not owned by me

Do one of these conditions trigger this behavior?

Thanks,

rickb

Ok, it's the subtasks that are doing it.  Plus the subtask is getting pulled into the sprint -- I think I read something in the docs that subtasks could not be split.

So, ok -- I'll get rid of the subtasks (I seem to recall Atlassian was real resistent to incorporating them, way back when I was using JIRA before.)
