Skip steps in the workflow for a specific Issue Type

Hi there!

I am trying to find a way to bypass the first few steps of our current workflow for the Story Bug issue type so that the QA and Dev team don't have to go through so many statuses to get to the correct initial status. Any ideas?

You will need to add a transition to the workflow that allows a user to take the route around the steps you don't want.

I would recommend at the very least protecting it with some conditions (so that only certain people can do it - for example when a QA person decides something only needs one of five tests, they can skip 4, but you would not let a Developer do that, as it's not their call).  Potentially, you could automate it in some cases too.

Hi Kellie!

You can add an automation that transitions automatically when a story / bug ticket is created. So when the card is created it will be automatically moved to the required status.

PS: If there are mandatory fields in the first steps, these fields must be completed as well.
