Since moving server to cloud, my "." shortcut options are gone, and I cannot close a task in backlog

We have tickets in our backlog that for whatever reasons are not going to be worked. As such, they won't be pulled into a sprint, and they will not be worked (and marked done). 
On Jira Server, I would just type: ".closed" and the issue would be closed. 
On Jira Cloud, typing the period/dot now opens completely different dialog. My workflow allows ALL status to transition directly to ALL other status. 
The dropdown workflow (I think it's dropdown workflow) doesn't show either Done or Closed options. 

Any help is appreciate as I am not finding things very intuitive.
