Hi All,
I have a requirement in my Customer project to enable simplified workflow and enable Risk Register.
I will enable simplified workflow and try to enable Risk Register. There is a separate workflow for Risk issue type which I add and proceed. However, after adding the Risk issue type workflow, the simplified workflow is getting disabled for this project.
Could you please let me know how to enable simplified workflow and Risk register for a project.
Thanks in advance.
BR,
Prashant.
Hi Prashant,
Is it Risk Register by ProjectBalm (see here) that you are trying to enable?
kind regards,

Hi Craig,
Thank you for the reply. I can see the Risk Register plugin and when I try to enable, the workflow which is simplified already is getting disabled.
For the Risk register, I have separate issue type, workflow, screen scheme and field scheme to ensure this is enabled.
Could you please let me know how should I enable risk issue type for this workflow to achieve both (Simplified workflow + Risk register)
Many thanks.

Prashant.

Hi Prashant,
You need to attach your issue type to the workflow scheme.
Go to Settings (Gear Icon) => Issues => Workflow schemes
Find the workflow scheme you are interested in, and click Edit => Assign. You can then select the appropriate scheme and press Finish.

Hi Craig,
Thank you. I tried this above option, but still did not get the required risk register enabled. Please see attached screenshot.
I have a separate workflow for Risk Register, when I add this workflow to the project specific workflow then the simplified workflow is getting removed from the project.
Please let me know if there is any solution to achieve both Simplified workflow + Risk Register in a single flow. Thank you.

Hi Prashant,
I'd like to assign this to our engineering team to have a look at, but I will need your request in our service desk system. Can you please raise a ticket here: https://projectbalm.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1
many thanks,
Craig

Hi @Prashant Sangappa Shivashimpi
Workflows are not associated with projects. Workflows are associated with issue types. Meaning that if you add a custom workflow for a specific issue type, then this issue will not have the simplified workflow.
You can associate the simplified workflow for this risk issue type if you want.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have a separate workflow for Risk Register. After enabling the simplified workflow, I will add this Risk Register workflow, however the simplified workflow is becoming unavailable for this project.
Could you please let me know how should I enable risk issue type for this workflow to achieve both (Simplified workflow + Risk register)
Many thanks.

Hi @Prashant Sangappa Shivashimpi ,
I've install this addon you are talking about, and created a risk. However this addon will not alter the workflow of your issue types. Kindly see images below:
This means that you have to associate the simplified workflow to THAT issue you are using as a risk. If there are multiple issue types, then associate all of them with the simplified workflow. And just to be clear. A simplified workflow would be a workflow with no restriction and no transition among statuses (and other things which you can read here)
Hope all the above helps.
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thank you for the reply. I am using the same plug-in. When I try to enable, the workflow which is simplified already is getting disabled.
For the Risk register, I have separate issue type, workflow, screen scheme and field scheme to ensure this is enabled.
Could you please let me know how should I enable risk issue type for this workflow to achieve both (Simplified workflow + Risk register)
