Sidebar is not visible for Project Users with different user assignments (Developer, Administrator)

Hey Jira Community,

we have a Jira project and the Sidebar is only visible for the owner´s of the Jira Project.

Every other project members cannot see the sidebar (see screenshot). Assignment for the users who cannot see the sidebar is Developer and Administrator.

I think this is an authorization problem. The browser inspection console shows a lot of 403 errors.

We tried to resolve this problem by assigning the "Administrator" role by the affecting users, by disabling adblocker extensions, by disabling any VPN connection, by deleting browser cache & Cookies, all of that without success.

Affected Jira Version: Atlassian Jira Project Management Software (v9.12.8#9120008-sha1:2523b75) (free community license)

Hey Fadoua,

1. No we use no Skript

2. Yes we tested it with Chrome, Edge, Firefox (Same User)

3. No we only try one Computer, the computer from the affected person

4. Yes

We think this is an issue with the current installed version v9.12.8

We tested also the visibility of the sidebar with a Mobile phone, both via local home network and via mobile network. The problem is still there.

• Are you sure no script is being used? To hide the left frame to certain users can only be done using a script.
• Are you seeing this problem on different browsers?
• Did you try it from different computers?
• Were the users able to see the left frame before?

Any more elaboration would be very helpful.
