Showing a closed unstarred dashboard

Glenn Bruckner June 11, 2019

We just recently migrated to Jira in the cloud.  Whenever I log in to Jira, it displays a completed dashboard that I do not have starred.  How do I get Jira to stop showing that dashboard?  Is there a default view that can be displayed?

It may be the system dashboard that is displayed to every user. Try to check if the system dashboard has been modified to show these gadgets.

It does not appear that I would have admin rights.  when I hover over the diamond icon in the upper left, the URL is as follows:

https://abcsupply.atlassian.net/secure/MyJiraHome.jspa

Also the dashboard displayed is a project specific dashboard that we completed in November 2018, so I would highly doubt that it would be the system default.  It just happens to be the last dashboard that I viewed when I was I deselecting all the dashboards I had starred prior to the migration.

Is there a way to display the default dashboard that would be displayed when you log on for the first time?

System dashboard is the one that is displayed for first time user who log in and stays until a new one is starred. Jira Administrator can configure this system dashboard.

Here is what I did.  This may not be the preferred way but I think it will work.

I went into the starred items from the blue sidebar.  there is a lot of recent activity displayed and I selected view all dashboards.  On the second page I found the system dashboard and highlighted the star next to it.  I selected the system dashboard to display and then exited the program.  when I went back in the system dashboard was displayed.

I think the issue may have been that I did not have any dashboards marked with a star and that is the first area searched for what to display and since POS-LNE Epic 38 was the last one I previously visited, that may be why it  was always displayed even though it was un-starred.  Speaking of the previously viewed items, is there a way to clear that or at least remove items from the list?
