Should we link Jira project to software project or to an existing application?

Hello,

we just start to use Jira Software.

We have a few existing applications. We work out IT-projects that add extra features to these applications.

How should we use Jira projects? Should we link them to:

• our IT-projects?
• our existing applications, but how to group issues (epics & stories) into individual projects?

Typically your applications will be projects in your JSW application. Then you will create linked issues between your JSD project and your JSW projects. There are a lot of discussions and topics within the Community that discuss this so I encourage you to use the search bar to find out more on this topic.
