Should moving an issue to done in a sprint board cause the assignee field to clear?

A user has stated that upon moving a subtask to the far right column of "closed" in their sprint board, the assignee field which was once populated clears out.

Hi @Pamala Hogg ,

By default moving issue to Close column will not clears out Assignee filed. If it is happening then you need to check your closed transition of issue whether any post function is added to clear any field data or update any field.

Also by default below are the  post functions for closed transition and please verify whether you have any additional post functions configured for Close transition to clear any field value.Thanks,

It all depends on how your workflow is configured. It sounds like the workflow for your sub-tasks has a post function that clears out the assignee field.
