Should a ticket remain in the 'Done' column forever?

Sarah Mercer January 23, 2024

Hello

I have tickets visible in the timeline that are 'Done' but are no longer visible on the board. Do 'Done' tickets disappear off the board after they have been done for 2 weeks?

Thanks

No.  Kanban boards stop displaying "done" issues based on their type.

  • Some Kanban boards will stop displaying anything in the "done" column (the very last column on the board) that has not been updated in two weeks.
  • Others have a "sub filter", which defaults to "in the last columns and fix version is not empty"

Most boards can change those rules, but not all.

Welcome to the community @Sarah Mercer !

Yes, this is set by default, and this is for Kanban projects mainly. You can change this, when you go to Configure Board -> General -> Scroll down for the Hide completed issues older than and then select the different option.
