Share fields between Software and Next Gen project

Hi to everyone!

I'm trying  to resolve my issue

In a few words: we use Jira Cloud/ we have a few projects/ most of them are Software projects.

DO we have an opportunity to do something like this:

I want to move an issue from the software project to the next-gen project with all fields that I already have. In my software project, I have a "value" field in my next-gen project I have "Est.value" field

Do I have any solution on how to move the issue from one project to another with all the fields?

or for example, if I create a new custom field in the next-gen project issue, will I be able to automatically fill it with data from the software project issue?

Hi Oleg,

The custom fields created in Next-gen are not the same custom fields that are created in the shared custom fields function for software projects. You can move the issue, but the fields might not (probably won't?) transfer over. 

It might prompt you for which field to move the value to, but I doubt that. You might try it with just a test card first. 

The other option would be to export the Next-gen issues with the fields, move the issues to the software project and then import the CSV file back into the software project to update the fields.
