Several users are having issues logging their time

Note the error screenshot below received by the users when trying to log their time against a task:

We have had JIRA for years, and just start happening now in 2017.

No modifications were done by any admins.

Can someone assist?

I am afraid you will have to raise an Atlassian support ticket for this. I would also check if you have recently installed a Connect add-on or not. Looks like a javascript issue.
