Setting up a new user returns in "invalid email address"

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

Whenever I want to add a new user to my project, it turns out that the email address is always invalid although, it is a proper one.

Any idea?

@Martin BeyerSimple Test send mail  from your Gmail or any other working mail from working  server  and,  check  with  user whether he receives mail,  if mail  is wrong  you will  receive error message from Gmail , if  user  receives mail ,  then JIRA should have no  problems with  this  user.

Just check might be it contains space before/after the email ID.
