Setting up Custom Field as "Hide when Empty"

Hi Experts,

I want to add multiple custom fields to a screen that is shared with 100+ jira projects. In order to have minimum impact to other projects,I was thinking to set "Hide when Empty" setting to these fields so that they are automatically categorized under "More Fields" tab and does not confused the users. How can I do so?

Hi @Rahul Mittal

The issue layout setting is project specific. And by default the fields added will not be 'hide when empty'.

Instead of modifying the layout of all 100+ projects, i would go by branching out the screen scheme for this project.

Thanks @Fazila Ashraf

Yes, that's the option I am planning to process without impacting other projects.

Hello, Good day. You could configure this setting from project settings >> issues > layout. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-issue-layout/

Hi @Mohanraj Thangamuthu  : I was doing that right now but the issue is that this needs to be done at Project level and it means we need to touch 100+ projects, which I want to avoid.
