Setting an Epic Link in my Active Board shows all the epics in my whole organisation

Hello, as the title states when I go to set an Epic Link in my active Board shows all the epics in my whole organisation - not just the ones in my current project.

This is very frustrating because to find the right epic i have to filter the entire list.

Is there anyway you can set your board/project to only show the epics relevant to that project (rather than display every single one)

There is no way to filter the epics down with out-of-the-box Jira, yet... There are many suggestions to improve this area, including this specific one for what you asked:
