Send notification about Jira updates in Slack channel

How to send notification about Jira updates in Slack channel particular days and make sure it's not a public holiday. We are not allowed to use Jira Server for Slack in the organization.

Without that connector, what is your plan for sending notifications to Slack: by calling the REST API directly, something else?

If you have the paid version of Automation for Jira (A4J), you could do this with a web request to call the Slack REST API.  The free version of A4J does not support web requests.
