Send email upon release

Hi,

I'm using Jira Software (on Cloud) and have searched & read many articles (including this), but can't work out how to send an email (to a group of people) when a sprint is Released.

I'd rather not have to buy another plugin/extension, as it seems this should be relatively straight forward, but no luck yet...

Would appreciate any guidance.

Many Thanks

Hi Derrick - I don't think there is anything built in for this in Jira. I am sure there are add-ons.

The closest thing would be to simply not move the cards into the Done column until they are Released. Then place a post function on the Transition to Done to send the email.

Hi John,

Thanks, yes, that's what tried, but it sends me a notification for each issue. Ideally, I'd like to send a single notification (to a group) linking to a specific custom filter that I've created for our release notes.

Looks like I'm going to have to buy another plugin.

Thanks,

Derrick

Do you think you could do that with a subscription? Build your filter like above for cards changed to Done for a certain period and have the subscription run and send an email.

And I would suggest Automation For Jira if you need an add-on  :-)
